Beatrice Biodiesel, LLC.
Nebraska, United States

Agri Energy Limited is developing a fully integrated agri-energy complex in South Eastern Nebraska. The complex consists of a 60Mgpy biodiesel production facility, a cogeneration plant, oil seed crusher and 55Mgpy ethanol production facility.

Stage one of the agri-energy complex, the Beatrice Biodiesel Project was scheduled to come on line in late 2007. Start up has been delayed due to funding shortfall for construction completion and working capital requirements. It is a second generation, solid catalyst process, one of the largest biodiesel plants in the United States and the lowest operating cost production facility in North America.

The Beatrice Biodiesel Project will process soy oil and methanol to high quality biodiesel and glycerine which is sold under contracts with Provista Renewable Fuels Marketing, a joint venture between US BioEnergy Inc and CHS Inc, and Cargill.

The Group’s green strategy is to eliminate totally the use of fossil fuels in the production process.

Australia

In October 2007, the Company took the decision to defer any biofuel development in Australia pending a rationalisation of the industry. There remains too much uncertainty in feedstock costs, biofuel markets, government legislation and consumer acceptance in the Australian market.

The Group have a number of biofuel projects planned in Australia and will continually review the market conditions and investor opportunities.
